The high risk of HYIPs are dued to the fact that usually they are pyramid or bubble schemes where the generated money come from the continuous investments of the users.
When the investment stop, or when there are no new users it is impossible to generate more income and the payments are stoped. Many of the users lose money, specially the last to enter in the scheme. It is an uncontournable truth that to someones earn money many others have to lose it.
